EVENT Hearst to celebrate 125th year

Texas son and Hearst Corporation CEO Frank Bennack returns to his local roots next week when he celebrates not only his induction into the Texas Business Hall of Fame on Tuesday, but the 125th anniversary of Hearst on Wednesday at a private party.

The Halloween night fete (no tricks, only treats) will include a champagne reception, private screening of the new documentary, Citizen Hearst, an intimate dinner and a musical performance with a surprise A-list singer.

Similar parties in New York, Boston and San Francisco brought out stars including Jennifer Hudson, John Legend and Tony Bennett. Citizen Hearst premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival earlier this month.

Among the guests are Mayor Annise Parker, Former Mayor Bill White and philanthropist Andrea White, President of H-E-B Scott McClelland, President/CEO of the Texas Medical Center Richard Wainerdi, City Council Members Helena Brown, Melissa Noriega, James Rodriguez and Mike Sullivan.
