EVENT Roemer to speak at Jazz Brunch

Theresa Roemer, award-winning author and Mrs. Texas United America 2010,  will be the featured speaker at the upcoming Third Annual Jazz Fundraiser Brunch on Saturday, May 12. This event will be held at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.


Roemer will share her compelling story of loss and grief and how she was able to move through the tragic loss of her son, Michael Dean Meyers, who died in 2006 at the young age of 19.


Attendees will also be entertained by Leo Polk & Friends. Leo Polk has toured with BB King and played with Motown artist David Ruffin.


Proceeds from the jazz brunch benefit The Grief Resource Center and the counseling services it provides. 


Tickets are $125 each and sponsorship packages are available. Proceeds benefit The Grief Resource Center.


The Grief Resource Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming place that offers understanding, promotes healing, and provides practical assistance and resources to children and adults in all aspects of the grieving process following the death of a loved one. All proceeds from this event benefit the center, a nonprofit agency.
