NANO Reading Series

Houston-based literary journal, NANO Fiction, prepares for a night of fringe literature March 8 at 7:30 p.m., as part of the spring 2011 NANO Reading Series.

March’s reading will feature poet Eric Ekstrand and two fiction writers, Ryan Call and Miah Arnold.  All three local writers have promised a night we will soon not forget.

Eric Ekstrand was awarded his MFA from University of Houston in May 2010, where he held an Inprint/Brown Fellowship; Ryan Call is the author of The Weather Stations (Caketrain 2011); and Miah Arnold was an Inprint/Diana P. Hobby Award winner for her fiction at the University of Houston in 2008.

Hosted by Kaboom Books, and organized by NANO Fiction Editor Glenn Shaheen, The NANO Reading Series is a monthly event that strives to expose the Houston community to local writers. This season’s readers include a number of established poets and fiction writers from the Houston, Austin and Louisiana areas.

The readings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at Kaboom Books on Houston Avenue.

More information on the season’s readers and NANO Fiction may be found at http://nonfiction.org.
