Two local writers, David Theis, author of Literary Houston; and Michael Phillips, author of Monster in River Oaks; will be signing books at Barnes & Noble in River Oaks Shopping Center on Saturday, December 18 at 1 p.m. As an added treat, the Houston Youth Symphony will perform holiday music at 2 p.m.

Organized by theme, Literary Houston is a fascinating anthology that covers everything from conquistador Cabeza de le Vaca to Larry McMurtry to Howard Hughes.

Not since Blood and Money have such secrets of passion and possession been revealed about the residents of Houston's River Oaks neighborhood, home to some of the nation's most elite, powerful and wealthy families. This intriguing story by Houston attorney Michael Phillips offers insight into the forbidden secrets of the fabulously rich.

The River Oaks Shopping Center is located at the corner of W. Gray and S. Shepherd.
