Saks Fifth Avenue Houston will partner with Career Gear Houston to distribute winter coats to those in need.

From October 23 through November 1, customers will be invited to bring in their gently worn adult coats or men’s suits to Saks Fifth Avenue stores and receive 25 percent off their purchase of a new adult coat or men’s suit. Coats and suits donated to Saks Fifth Avenue Houston will be given to Career Gear Houston, a partner agency in the One Warm Coat network.

One Warm Coat started in 1992 as a Thanksgiving weekend coat drive in San Francisco. Since then, more than one million coats have been donated in thousands of local communities across North America.

One Warm Coat is a national non-profit organization that assists in the donation of coats. One Warm Coat helps individuals, groups, companies and organizations across the country collect coats and deliver them to local agencies that distribute them free, to people in need.

The organization’s goal is to ensure that anyone who needs a coat has one. Providing this simple, yet vital, need helps people live productive lives year round.
