Tour de Pink scheduled

Thousands of cyclists will wind through Texas’ beautiful countryside on September 19 in the Sixth Annual Tour de Pink, benefiting Pink Ribbons Project. Sponsored by BBVA Compass, the bike ride takes place at Prairie View A&M University and features a post-ride music festival featuring performing artists from the area. Routes of 12, 23, 47, 63, 80 and 100 miles are offered.
Ride participants will raise money for Pink Ribbons Project to support proper screening for the medically underserved and those without insurance. The only arts-based breast cancer organization in the nation, Pink Ribbons Project has given back over $3.5 million into the Greater Houston community.
Early online registration is $25 and ends on September 12. Late registration is available at Bike Barn, 5935 Kirby, on Friday, Sept. 17 and Saturday, Sept.18.
