ABOUT HOUSTON WOMAN MAGAZINE
Houston Woman Magazine is a bi-monthly publication serving professional women in Houston. Since March 2004, the publication has dedicated its efforts to informing, inspiring and connecting these successful women.
Houston Woman Magazine spotlights women making a difference in the Houston community and provides a vehicle for the exchange of ideas and opinions and serves as a soapbox for the voices of those wishing to discuss the interesting and important issues of the day.
Houston Woman Magazine boasts a growing list of loyal advertisers and subscribers. Together, they assure the future growth and expansion of the publication. Feedback from these supportive partners is encouraged and highly valued. It is this active participation from those most invested that gives Houston Woman Magazine its strength and vitality.
ABOUT OUR PUBLISHER
Beverly Denver is a well-trained and seasoned professional journalist with more than 30 years of experience in the print media. Her experience is unique, having worked in all facets of the newspaper industry. She has spent much time in the newsroom - as a reporter and editor - and also in the boardroom, having held positions as a marketing director, an advertising sales manager and a publisher. Her experience includes positions with both small local papers and several big city dailies.
In the mid 1980s, the entrepreneurial bug bit, and Denver launched her own community newspaper in the North Harris and South Montgomery County area. Several years later, she started a similar publication in an affluent area of the inner city.
Throughout her career, Denver has also served as a print media consultant, working with individuals, small businesses and other newspapers, specializing in marketing and business development.
Denver is the recipient of numerous professional and community-service awards, among them the Print Journalist of the Year Award for 2000 by the Press Club of Houston.

ABOUT OUR COLUMNISTS
Gina Gheller MSW, LCSW writes the monthly column, Girl Talk. She has been a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in Houston for more than 10 years and is a Diplomate of The American Psychotherapy Association. She has a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Houston and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Northern Michigan University. Gheller does individual, couples and family therapy, along with educational workshops.
Denise Landers writes Getting Organized. She has been providing articles on organizing and time management for Houston Woman Magazine since its inception. Her columns focus on topics that reflect the daily challenges we face in striving to be as productive as possible, while juggling busy schedules in both our business and personal lives. Landers is the author of the book, "Destination Organization," and the owner of Key Organization Systems, Inc.
Jane E. Mulholland has been writing Career Corner since 2004. Each month, Mulholland speaks to workplace issues, including asking for a raise, knowing when to quit a job, change careers or start one's own business. As a highly experienced career consultant, she has built her company, JEM Consulting, around supporting, inspiring and developing others to identify and realize their potential. She has a BA and M. Ed from the University of Pittsburgh.
